A multi-national ensemble performing songs in 25 languages, Pink Martini was founded in 1994 by American pianist Thomas Lauderdale with the goal of creating a unique sound by uniting classical, jazz, Latin, and pop genres. Their debut single, "Sympathique (Je ne veux pas travailler)," was released in 1997 and became an instant smash hit.
Their concert tours have taken them around the world, playing at the opening of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the reopening ceremony of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Kennedy Center, and the 80th Academy Awards. In 2014, they were inducted into both the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame and the Oregon Music Hall of Fame. Like Beth Hart, Pink Martini is also performing in 2026 to make up for their concert that was cancelled in 2025.
